Municipal Law

In today’s environment, most large projects face opposition and none are approved without meticulous CEQA review. The cost and delay of an overly broad environmental review can kill a project, but an inadequate CEQA review will leave a public agency vulnerable and subject to challenge.

Punam Parikh Prahalad practices in the area of municipal law. She represents public agencies in a variety of practice areas, including general municipal, land use, and environmental.

Ms. Prahalad earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1998. In 2002 she earned her law degree from Tulane Law School where she earned a certificate in Environmental Law. She has worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the County of San Diego, the County of Orange and has also taught a course in environmental law to public policy students in UC San Diego’s School of Global Policy & Strategy.
