Ms. House has practiced in the area of municipal law since joining Lounsbery Ferguson Altona & Peak LLP in August 2010. She currently serves as the Assistant City Attorney of the City of San Marcos and has assisted numerous other public agencies.
Her practice areas include general municipal law, administrative law, conflicts of interest, land use, campaign finance and elections laws, employment and personnel matters. She has participated in conferences, negotiations, settlements and hearings before various local, state and federal agencies, and has prepared and presented on parliamentary procedure and the Brown Act, prevailing wage, executing contracts and insurance requirements, and campaign finance and elections laws.
Ms. House previously worked in the field of emergency planning for Heartland Fire and Rescue, serving the Cities of El Cajon, La Mesa and Lemon Grove, and assisted the Office of Homeland Security for the City of San Diego.
Ms. House graduated from San Diego State University with dual bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Political Science, and earned her Juris Doctor degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
