Catherine Ferguson advises public and private clients on matters regarding Environmental, Real Property, Land Use, and Municipal Law. Her Land Use practice includes real property purchase and sale agreements, easements, development agreements, zoning regulations, project entitlements, property/site use evaluation, and other legal issues related to real property. Her Environmental Law practice includes CEQA compliance and stormwater regulation and compliance. Her Municipal Law practice includes stormwater laws, development regulation, and municipal code drafting and enforcement.
Ms. Ferguson graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2016 with a concentration in Public Law. Prior to graduation, Ms. Ferguson interned at the Oceanside and San Diego City Attorney’s Offices, San Diego Coastkeeper, and the USD Law Civil Law Clinic. Ms. Ferguson performed her post-bar internship at Procopio Cory Hargreaves & Savitch in the Family Law department assisting with cases involving real property disputes.
Catherine helped co-found and served as the Vice President of the North County YIMBY (Yes In My Backyard) group which was a pro-housing group promoting equitable neighborhoods and housing for all.
Ms. Ferguson is an active member of the State Bar of California Environmental Section and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. Ms. Ferguson is also a member of the San Diego County Bar Association.
